On 5 September, Largo de Picões hosts a fundraising event to support work on the roof of the Picões Festivities Committee building. The programme includes traditional spit-roasted pork and entertainment throughout the evening.
The entertainment begins at 6:00 pm with Zumba Power Dance by Liliana Parente, followed by a performance by Sávio Pinho at 8:00 pm. The event brings the community together for an evening of food and entertainment while supporting an important local cause.
On 19 September, Sanfins hosts an evening gathering organised by the Nossa Senhora dos Remédios 2027 Festivities Committee. The event will feature grilled sardines, grilled pork, traditional bread, caldo verde, sangria and other local snacks, accompanied by live musical entertainment.
The event starts at 7:00 pm at the Nossa Senhora dos Remédios Festivities Committee Bar, offering an evening of food, music and community spirit while supporting the organisation of the 2027 festivities.
The (A) Tua Família – Challenge Edition programme returns to Valença with a series of activities designed to strengthen family bonds through fun, learning and shared experiences.

From 1 July to 1 September, the “Valença, Artes e Ofícios” exhibition room, located in Valença’s Tourism Office, will host the painting exhibition “Three Worlds, One Nature” by young Valencian artist Inês Gonçalves Eiras.
The exhibition features eight artworks inspired by the planet’s biodiversity, portraying animals from the sky, the sea and the land while highlighting the connection between different habitats and ecosystems. Through her artistic vision, the author invites visitors to reflect on the importance of protecting species and preserving nature, celebrating the richness and diversity of life on Earth.

On 29 and 30 August, Valença hosts the 4th Motorcycle Gathering of the Valença Motorcycle Club, a weekend dedicated to the passion for two wheels, friendship and the biker spirit. The event takes place at the Weekly Fairgrounds, next to the River Minho, and admission is free.
The programme features a 50cc moped rally, traditional games, competitions, live music with DJs and bands, entertainment shows, prize ceremonies and a motorcycle tour around the municipality. From 11th to 13th September 2026, Valença will host the 12th edition of the Eurocity Valença–Tui Tournament, one of the most important youth roller hockey competitions in the region. Organised by Valença Hóquei Clube, the tournament brings together teams from Portugal and Spain, promoting sport, friendship, and a spirit of cooperation between the two banks of the River Minho.
Over three days of competition, athletes from various age groups will compete in dozens of matches in an atmosphere of fair play, passion for roller hockey, and great enthusiasm from spectators and families alike. Year after year, the event has established itself as a meeting point for young talents in the sport, creating moments of sharing, friendship, and sporting development.
Integrated into the spirit of the Eurocity Valença–Tui, the tournament strengthens the ties between the two territories and contributes to the sporting and cultural dynamism of the region. Beyond the competitive side, the event is also recognised for its festive atmosphere and strong involvement of the local community.
